Freshly ink'd, Ruzzle is VERY addictive and birthday weekend

Sorry for my neglect!!! Left you guys hanging last week. I had so much fun on my birthday weekend.

Start off with some boring ass fillers  hmmmmm let's see..Yes! Planned a weekend filled of relaxing, wining and fun for the birthday. My friend Laura couldn't make it because of some stuff with her long term partner's ex-wife. At least she let me know in advance and I do know how my friend's ex-wife is. Her LTP is one of my good friends, we've been knowing each other since twelve years old. Also my cousins went out of town. One went to SXSW in Austin (grr jealous!) and the other I have no clue. But they had fun.  My take off was kinda rough, the job didn't honor my take off uuuugghhhhhh holiday type thing when you working with the state of Texas, government employment stuff..blah blah.  Lucifer aka the ex-husband was in his disturbed mode, coming up with poor excuses in not getting his son (yeah when I say lame they are pretty darn lame) but he got him anyways. Off to Dallas!!!!! YAAA!! GPS is acting like a baaarrrhhh, boooooo!!! Checked into the Hilton, quick shower and off to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

Dude, the control panel from Prometheus.
SCIENCE IS COOL!!!
Who you lady?? lol
Fascinating! in my Mr. Spock voice.

Five levels of awesomeness from this wonderful museum. You can interact with loads of the exhibits on each floor.  The attendees, young to old had a nice time with the local wines, spirits (wasn't that much) and beers (Hoegaarden, wheat beer my butt! More like a pale sweaty sock ale) and cheese. All sponsored by Kroger's. For any of you exploring Texas, visiting Dallas pretty soon or whatever, please sign up for alerts on the website. The place gets packed and people wait to buy a general admission ticket just to go in. I was very luck to hunt an activity to enjoy on my birthday weekend.  My 35.00 was well spent on exploring a newly built, eco-friendly museum, mixing and mingling with people and sipping on wine.

Classy secci lady for the night.

St. Paddy Day parade @ Greenville Ave.

She wasn't playing with that shopping cart full of beer.

Forget about Deep Ellum (WAS the coolest thriving artsy places, bars, dives and clubs of Dallas unless you wanna get shot!) Greenville took over some years ago. Centered around the downtown Dallas area, Greenville have the all of all.  The last St. Paddy in Greenville I attended was 10 years ago. I didn't know it existed when Sissy and I went to see Queen for a Day (only cover Queen band that I know of.) Now Dallas have recognize St. Patrick's Day finally and to display its wonders every year when it falls on the third Saturday in March. And noticed the idles of March winds didn't kick in because when I went back to the room--tan lines.  Many beer cans, bbq pits, whinos, cute guys, shopping carts of beers, long lines to the 7-11 & port-a-potties of course with the careful eye of the Dallas police force (they didn't look too worried either) was celebrating our Irish heritage or "magically" claiming it. Seas of green clothing, half clothing or paint on naked bodies little to the imagination is the excuse to get drunk on public streets & businesses and having a good time. I can deal with that with my tall boy in the hand, burning up in the Texas sun, catching beads and seeing drunk people. Almost got a wee bit scrappy over shamrock beads with a guy but wasn't that serious. lol. No Irish Yoga here but slept like a baby when I got back to the room.

Saturday night was wonderful! Met some cool people at the bar, mostly conventions of semi & professional people. There was a pinball tournament convention going on. Serious, my butt is going to research teams and  love pinball and yesssss they was playing for money. KACHING!  Notice some guys was checking me out but didn't make any moves. I was the lady in orange, hear me out as a fashion major: Orange is a great color for spring and summer! A guy name Luigi (no, he didn't have a green hat on and not a plummer's crack in sight) bought me a delicious chocolate cake. The cake was all over the bar, drinks overflowing and this girl had to book it up to her room with a smile. One of the bar attendant's asked me if I need help. I told him no and thank you (serious with my safety) and not bad of a walk to my room in the Hilton!! Dammit, hated that I didn't get to boogie on the dance floor!!!  Sunday morning was okay with Ms. Knelle buying me breakfast and telling me about Organo Gold products. The green tea helped me a lot, settling my stomach and getting over my Saturday night fun.

KountrySoulGirl ink'd!
Though I was by myself, took the time to enjoy every last bit of my birthday weekend. I couldn't plan a better getaway sans the kids to take care of myself (lots of sleep), enjoy room service (creme brulee yummy) and meet interesting people from all over the US.  Ohhh.. Got some serious ink and found a new tat artist! She's very gentle, sweet and pretty dang awesome.  Been a looonnggg time (8 years) since my body been touched by the wonder gods of ink and my daughter picked out the stars for me. Vintage Texas stars since being a sweet country soulful Texas girl and representing my home state. They're scabbing over as we speak and gotta rub the ointment to moisturize. If ya don't then ewwwww and oooouuuccchhhhyyyy..hehehe. Tattoos are addictive and going back later in the year for more. Yeah, Big Mama had to say something, know how those old folks are! LOL. I tickled her when I repeated what my great-aunt (her baby sister) said to me when seeing my tats long ago:

"You're not going to get a man with all that mess on ya."
Me, smiling and said "Well, I guess he's not the guy for me since he can judge and I can judge too!"

Don't get me started on her going about with my afro & natural hair. Though having it straighten for the past 2 month, I miss my kinky curls!
And I have a new god daughter too!!

Ruzzle is additive! Need to say more??? Play it my friends and never let them see you sweat connecting those letters placed in the oddest positions. Mess them UP!!! Have to recharged the Kindle every night due to my newly obsession and yes I put my priorities first and then Ruzzle (sorta) but I still get things done. :)

Well gang this Kountrysoulgirl livin' it up in the city this past weekend. My lil sweet patootie can adapt to any situations and mingle with many. That's why I'm too lovable and cute. Remember, a smile is your biggest asset on you other than boobs and ass. Use it at all times!

Love & Blessings!
