Revised Horror Favorite Movies to watch.

Hooowwddyy!
It's good to be back in front of the keyboard, typing my little heart out.

Things are well in HOT HUMID EAST TEXAS!
Now to business with the fun stuff:  Further ado, adding more to the collection, my personal favorite of........(drum roll)

Horror movies of ALL TIME!

1. Cabin in the Woods:  Stop the press!  I've slack the hell off when this came out.  Don't judge a book by its cover.  Thanking my daughter hippin' me watch this GEM of a horror/comedy, the movie stands ALONE as one of the top horror movies of the 21st century.  Do you realize how long its been that an actual horror movie poking fun of the stereotype with a twist?  Thank the creator of Buffy, Firefly and the Marvel's Avengers director Joss Whedon!
Note: Some may argue the whole movie is stupid, respect their opinion.

2.  House of 10,000 Corpses: Rob Zombie's first film is a mix of crazy, terror and the family that murders together stay together. I like he sets the films in the seventies and he takes pride in producing splatter horror.  Rob been a favorite of mine since White Zombie came out in the 90's.

3. Alien:  Who wants to be stuck in space with an alien? RIPLEYYYYY!!!!  Enough said.  Ridley Scott's Prometheus and Alien: Covenant are the back stories to the whole Alien history.   Personally, I like Prometheus, flaws yes due to pacing and cutting on the editing floor but would have made SOLID sense in the Engineer/human creation story stick to many people who love a good sci-fi/drama/horror film.  I particular love the android David and Dr. Elizabeth Shaw; the connection of her unable to bear children and him being created out sheer ego by Weyland--unable to bear a proper male heir.  Both shared a growing curiosity to explore deep into the unknown. Elizabeth's faith and David, a sentient being (if you notice the human crew dissed him many times of not being flesh and blood) are survivors from the horror found on the planet.

4. The Fly (1986):  Cute ass Jeff Goldblum stars as Dr. Seth Brundle in the classic remake.  It's not quite an oldie but watching it again, I had to close my eyes over ten times.  Very fond of David Crohnberg's work from Scanners to Existence visceral imagery horror which I really love and respect but goodness! The gross factor is wwwaaayyy up!  I almost puked twice.

5. The Mist: Another favorite Stephen King movie that I watch over and over again.  Found out weeks ago, The Mist is turned into a series on a cable network.  Worse than The Fog, I mean shit creatures from another dimension snatching people up like scooby snacks.  Sadly, my boy the Shermanator didn't make it...
