I survived Thanksgiving Sale & Black Friday: The aftermath.

The "Real" Walking Dead.
The Pre-Black Friday Thanksgiving sale at my wonderful job was weird! My first sales experiencing of the chaotic time was not to be played.  I got ready early and left around 7 pm. I live about 18 minutes from town not too bad of a drive on the highway. Arriving into the city limits, I was thirsty. So I made up my mind to purchase sweet tea *Southern people's wine* because I wanted to have something to wet  my whistle during the four hours. When I passed by my job, good grief! Those fools were lined up. "Omigosh:" I said  And  off to Mickey D's Gaakkkk, Mickey D's was closed!! Grrrrrr. really? You guys are closed? When? You suppose to serve us nasty burgers and mediocre drinks.  So I made a block around the neighborhood gaining my composure to endure the walk to the store door. This is a good time to pull out a cigarette. Tiffani, the Clinque makeup consultant came to my car and pretty shaken.  If anyone have experienced Black Friday, you  know how crowds are. But this is Thanksgiving Pre-Black Friday, smart move with retailers and my future with retailing looks promising as ever. These guys are more like maniacs ready to pounce on the next unsuspecting victim. Black Friday tends to bring the worst in people, shopping for the best deals while being a moron. I call it as I see it;  materialistic f*ckery of the highest bidder.  So Tif was terrified and  I was too. We both took a deep breath and walked to the door with authority. Of course there was some borderline retards moaning "umm how come ya'll  get to go in" DUH, dummy because we work here. I said in my head not outloud, I wasn't ready to fight but I will put my size 9 against a jaw and call the police. Both of us did the police knock, you know?  The hard, continuous beating that cops do when demanding for YOU to open the door.  Save by the bell, our store manager came. Pheww!! So happy to be inside and we're getting super ready for customers, trying not to lose our composure of giving quality customer service. Until......my friend's brother come knocking at the door, yep he's a policeman. Seems that a couple of people started to argue and trying to fight outside over whose in line first. Give me a damn break!
We're so FABULOUS!

The first hour was hectic after 10 p.m. slowed down to a trickle. I know my lipstick was worn off and my breath was getting a bit tart..LOL..Someone had a roll of LifeSavers  candy and I knocked them suckers out. But the excitement  was at Wal-Mart not too far from us.  My baby sister went to Wal-Mart that night to shop, many fights, arguments and arrests were made. One story floated from the customers that two people started fighting over a Straight Talk Phone.

A STRAIGHT TALK PHONE???? LMAO!!!

Exactly like this minus the cuties.
Straight talk phone is the slightly better cousin that hasn't landed in jail of the Tracfone. You know the one cousin that lived in that raggedy ass falling apart trailer house and upgraded to a pretty three bedroom, two bath with a garden tub double wide because of he/she founded a better job and now riding the high hog of livin'. That's the one! I have no clue what phone was up in arms but seems of this no contract, pay as you go, pick your plan, you can do it all at Wal-Mart cause this Fight Club-esque brawl broke out Thanksgiving night. Must have been rednecks, figures.  LOL.  Black Friday  was pretty chilled out because of the better deals that was given Thanksgiving night and early morning. But it was so boring and dead at work since store extend their hours late during the holiday shopping, all I did was straighten clothes and danced to whatever playing on the radio. We have some new employees there too. I met my secret Santa person that night, she's pretty nice and funny. She'll get a good gift from  me. I need a good drink that night too, stopped by the bar and had my two drink minimum Red Bull and vodka.  No clue on what nighttime bar mood but it was mix-matched.  Pretty much, I Facebook'd comments while enjoying my drink. And no, there wasn't anyone interesting that I would strike the fancy for a conversation. Some white chick with a ghetto black accent *the irony* was cursing and talking loud at some guy. I couldn't do nothing but laugh, but in my head!!  Singing modern R&B songs. Oh and she was belting "Contagious" like she was Aretha Franklin.
"That's  my sssshhhittt!!" she retorts.  Now I gave a silent chuckle and a smile. When I hear a song of course "That's my jam!" comes out, BOOM on to singing the tune. But this is East Texas, anything goes here so expect the unexpected.  I'm very happy that bars closes pretty early around here.  A total mess if they stayed open after 1 am.

Saturday was boring and met a couple new employees. One, sigh..........what can you expect; young, crazy,  talkative, not really professional and didn't motivate herself to keep herself busy. She hung around me most of the night. I do not know why younger people tend to gravitate toward me letting everything out, stuff I don't care but I dish it out the worse, unflattering things and scary so I can see them get smaller and smaller and back off. But this particular girl didn't and I started to run away from her. Yeah her foul language,  I cuss too but dang we're at work! But her breath, phhhheeeewwwwww!!!!  Her breath was born in Hell, not  figuratively but literally.  She sent me to Hell over and over the whole night. And notice that I was running away from  her too!! I was straighten a toy display, when she came over.
I  turned into Thumbalina & went to Hell last night.
Stinky: "I see that you're running from  me all I'm trying to do is make friends."
Me: "Errr..I'm trying to find something to do to passing the time."
She didn't take the hint, that one: her breath stank and two: calm yo butt down with acting extra whatever you're doing. I even mentioned about gum, candy and  that left over LifeSavers in the basket at the front register bay. Then  had the nerve to try to flirt with another new associate whose a cutie. Girl, please you're killing  him softly with that hell pit called a mouth. And you got a boyfriend and whatever you had on tonight, looking like that poorly made silver tinsel sad Christmas ornament that people keep scratching their heads wondering who in the hell made that and why it still made the cut in this year's tree decorations?   I meet the most interesting people at work. And yes, I was flirting with the new guy until I found out his age, nineteen.  SCCREEAAACHHHING HAAULLTT! Oh well, I had fun flirting and he did too. You have to be over voting and drinking age for me, can't do fresh out of high school thing. I'll leave that to the good, thirsty, desperate people around here.

Gonna be a LONG holiday season before  leaving my second part time job end of this year. Been awesome and having so much fun there. I can't wait to see my son today! He's been gone since Tuesday with Lucifer *his father* for Thanksgiving. Ready for  him to come back, I've been missing him. He's a toot and a handful but yesterday I started crying because I miss his voice and smile. Uh- oh, I can see it now. My kids leaving home for college or starting a new life. Empty house and just me. My daughter has five years now and my son another thirteen.  Don't worry, I have hobbies and lots of travel spots to hit. And the good thing about the kids leaving the nest is peace and quiet. I can only enjoy them right now in the moment and not think about it.
And the Walking Dead is coming on tonight!!! Michonne made it to the prison with the milk and going to tell the crew about Maggie and Glen being kidnapped. Arrghhh still sucks that T-Dog went out like a Boss earlier this month  to save Carol. Governor getting all cray cray as usual, *he's beginning to grow on me* and what is up with the sexy ass European men donning these Southern accents on these shows?  Andrew Lincoln and now David Morrissey??  Hotness. I think we need a surge of European  men that need to move to Texas. And if you do, you will receive thousand of thank-you's from us. The women that is. I'm  tired of rolling my eyes at Billy Bob, Tyrone and sometimes Jose staring at me and something stupid comes out of their mouths.  Bleh!  The other week, I seen the 'last' unicorn in Wal-Mart helping  my grandmother. The 'last' unicorn is someone blowing into town that's not the typical type of guys in this area: decent, takes regular showers, works out, looks good  vs. unshaven, dirty, fat, loud and rude.  Gets on my nerves when a good looking guy shopping and I can't strike up a conversation because I have to do my granddaughter duties with Big Mama. Big GIGANTIC SLAP across my face. But I cannot desert my grandmother just to flirt with a guy. That's plain rude! I can only catch good glances, frown a little and go back to helping. And  plus, she's not the "oh honey go on and get a date" type grandmother,  more the "really? you need to stop salivating and get this bacon for me *rolls eyes*."  LOL..

I'm not ready for work tomorrow. Five days off from my full time job is wonderful but I gotta keep pressing til Christmas holidays in the next three weeks. Yippy!

Happy Turkey Day & Shop smart on Black Friday

Happy Thanksgiving!! And I gotta work tonight, booooooo!!! Retailers are getting quite crafty this year with kicking off Black Friday early on SURPRISE--Thanksgiving night!  Instead of camping out on the sidewalk, pretty much loitering in my eyes  for numerous hours  before Friday, eating chips, pop tarts, the occasional baby wipe bath and chatting with other loiters for those big holiday savings, companies made it easier for the consumer.  We love electronics being SLASHED SLASHED SLASHED to almost to purchasing a can of Spam, those shoes you've been eyeballing since October but only $300.00? Its now under a hundred bucks!! Don't forget the wonderful people you'll gonna fight, trample, smash, cuss, outsmart when blazing for these products. Remember, your fellow man is in competition of bring home the best deals and can not wait to put that mega 60' Plasma HDTV with the projector, that comes with a the new Windows 8 and when you push a certain button, Rosie the Maid from the Jetson will come out and serve you beer and pork skins during the game in your man cave.  The holidays are a wonderful time of the year!

Good and will  hurt you, if ya not careful.
Down here in my neck of the boonies, Big Mama is cooking up a storm. Ha! Not really my aunt visiting out of town is. Big Mama use to cook great meals for Thanksgiving..Sigh.. I remember cringing during this time; peeling sweet potatoes and russet potatoes for the sweet potato pie and potato salad, washing up greens (or collards whatever you prefer) and peas to put on the stove for hours, slow cooking with the nice seasonings  to a perfection. Cooking cornbread for the vegetables and the dressing.  We call it, "dressing" some may call it "stuffing", the difference is we don't stuff a turkey, we have one cooked but not stuffed. I can't see us stuffing a turkey that's a bit difficult for them. Sticking with simple works out very well.  My Big Mama health is fair but she's still a whippersnapper! Oh gosh, telling  her to sit her butt down and rest is very hard for her. She's  use to doing things all the time, growing up in a different era; hard work is the norm and being laziness, you'll get clowned!  Hell,  they did everything  from making a fence post to creating soap to bathe. I hate the fact that most of these hard working people from her era are leaving, trying to pass down these wonderful gifts and talents came to a screeching halt that most of the children of my generation didn't  want to learn or thought it wasn't 'modern.' Pffftttt....I love the convenience of modern technology, product improvements to make my life easier and better but sometime you gotta know how to put some elbow grease into it when it breaks. I guess that's the good ol' country skills that I learned. As time passed, we've began to not put too much emphasize on our choice of food we eat. Some became vegetarians, some gotten picky and some started to realize that what we've been eating for a long time isn't too healthy.  Southern soul food is good for the soul and comfort but you can make healthier soul food without the discomfort of being rushed to the ER during that Thanksgiving night due to high blood pressure spikes.  Grease is delicious, but shit I have children to raise, look fabulous, staying in shape and a life to live. I'm not going to be riddled with high blood pressure, stroke, heart attacks and all the aliments that plagued black Americans due to high fat, high cholesterol, finger licking good overeating foods. I'm not putting a damper on your holiday feasting but my outlook is crucial. Don't get  me wrong, I love my Southern food but I have control of my portions and self discipline to not gorge myself.  I gotta keep my size 8 figure right and tight!  I had two kids and SHALL NOT waste my hard work on becoming & staying healthy.

Well its almost 12:30 here. Dad is watching the football game in his room and I'm about to get ready and eat. Later on, countdown to those wonderful shoppers tonight. On that note  this is what I wrote on my Facebook status:

Happy Gooble Day.
Please, don't acta fool tonight at 8pm in the stores.

Dear Savior,
I hope my night at work goes well without any problems. The savings and deals is what the people come to spend that $$, bearing those holiday gifts to family and friends. Though, my job is providing top notch customer service, don't let one of them test me. You have granted me patience over and over but if one starts to get raspy with me, a size 9 Jessica Simpson red stiletto and a Matrix style fly kick with the doves coming out of my ass will meet their jaw.
#Ilovetheholidays!

I'm not mean but I do not tolerate stupidity. Yes, I do wear a size 9 in shoes because of my tall people features   on my short body *Thanks MOM!* its  like  seeing a Hobbit with long legs and big feet and you do not know how to make of it. Speaking  of the Hobbit, must see movie Christmas night!

Sexxxyyyy
Oooooo I seen Skyfall yesterday. Not a bad, James Bond movie. When Skyfall came out earlier this month, in my area the ticket purchases skyrocketed *haha* that weekend.  You can say "We love James Bond!" And I love Daniel Craig!  Dayyuummmm, that man is handsome! The only movie I  passed with Daniel as the main character is "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." Why? Because I've seen the orginal and Hollywood completely destroy the whole story, adapting to American audience. Sorry, Hollywood & Daniel:  Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist killed it with the trilogies.

Note: Always watch the original movie, I don't care if its foreign and bunch of subtitles, you can read? I hope so.

Why isn't there any Daniel Craig look alikes here? Well.. there is one but he's more of the redneck version of him and works at Walmart. Not really that good looking but more of a WWWAAAYYYYYY distant cousin of Daniel Craig. LOL And yes, *cringe* redneck distant cousin Daniel Craig look alike was checking me out walking through the parking lot.  My  daughter called  him Freddie Kruger. Huh? She's not really big on guys checking me out, gets on her nerves to see men gawking at mom.  Mom can't help it that she looks nice and doesn't mind them staring but don't creep her out. I like attention but not a bona fide attention whore. Yes!!!! I finally used the redneck Daniel Craig reference tidbit, I love my brain.

Have a safe and wonderful holiday, put your difference aside with relative(s)  *I do every year* and stay as FARRR away as you can, don't eat too much, cherish those moments, no punching people on Black Friday and if you're an orphan on Thanksgiving, please do visit friends or help out in your local soup kitchens and shelters, bringing a smile on a someone's face that doesn't have the great fortunes like you.

Of I go, here's Adele with Skyfall.

ABG ROCKS & The Walking Dead too!!

I love Issa Rae!! She's been putting it down with her funny comedy mini-webisodes; The Misadventures of the Awkward Black Girl.  This is the second season, usually second seasons of a show can either soar higher or fail miserably.  Coming out last year I believe in mid-April or May, she have capture my attention where I have donated quite a few times to her project. Yeah its a bit rough, raw and have some late comic timing but what I like about it is that she's black, awkward and it's okay.  The characters are too hilarious like Sister Mary, Nina, A and Darius <--Baby Whispering Fool!!   Her friend Cece, is awesome, the voice of reasoning for J, awkward just like her and into some of the craziest stuff like her dance class. She also moonlights as a therapist.  J also picked White Jay over Fred. Oh gosh, season one was crazy!! Fred and White Jay are cute but White Jay gets her because he understand her awkwardness.

FINALLY her and White Jay getting that overdue sexy time.  I laughed so loud and hard from the beginning to the end. It's too cute and I love the dinner scene where the waiter cracking jokes on White Jay. So sexy how he stood up to the guy being an ass to him. Oh yeah, that's totally BOSS HOGGIN! LOL
Yep, I got that shirt!
Beautiful!!

A storyline that I can totally agree on and showing a black woman that she's normal like any woman with dating woes, awkward moments, job craziness, bizarre people at work from a normal everyday perspective.   She got the guy she likes and dating, changing jobs (hopefully), her best friend always going to be there and support her no matter what and still have those crazy awkward moments.  J doesn't have long flowing hair, not light skinned, super skinny or emulate someone else. She's just J, sporting a twa (teeny weeny afro), dresses cool, razor sharp humor (whenever she's thinking), writing rap lyrics/poetry to solve her problems on her own and awkward.  I can remember some of the embarrassing awkward moments I had growing up and now. Some are funny and some are cringe worthy where I cannot tell.

Issa Rae's show sheds  light on us 'awkward black girls' because we're usually looked  at weird or ignored. It's  funny where she pointed out a couple of stereotypes about black women  and I couldn't do nothing but agree and laugh. Do you know how annoying that is? When dumb people come and ask you out the sky blue in why you don't act a certain "black" way because it's not to their liking. It's like they expect that out of you  because the media and certain groups/person(s) told them how black women suppose to be.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!   As I laugh and flip my 'fro in the wind.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIVhKmuKLOM&feature=colike

Good news! Instead of us waiting forever for one episode, TWO will come out in a month!!! THANK YA JESUS!!! LMAO!!

TANGLES!! GRRRRR!!!
Walking Dead was awesome tonight!! Michonne is a goddess! Skanky McSkank Andrea became the Governor's new bootycall. Okay, even in the zombie apocalypse you still gotta VET and use COMMON SENSE!  Andrea is...hmmmm how can I say this.....'dickmatized' by the Governor's charms. Yeah he does look like a cross between Liam Neeson and Stephen Moyer but something is wrong with the cat. This deranged crazy ass dude is brushing his zombie daughter's hair. Fool, she's the UNDEAD! That means she can overpower you and bite!   And I notice that zombies do not have dandruff. Head and Shoulders is a very good product!

Hope you'll enjoy ABG as much as I did tonight. I was a bit late watching them but tonight was the perfect night.
Heading to bed, G'night and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. :)

AUSTIN BOUND BABY!!

I  went to the Austin area this  past weekend. This time for a wedding!!! I love weddings but long ago I use to hate them. I  thought  weddings was "the end" of your life. But weddings and marriage are two different things. A wedding is celebrating of  two people coming together in a union.  A marriage is a long term commitment of  those two people joined in union as ONE in the duration of their lives.  Yes, I  have been married and I found  myself during my four year marriage that its not a game, nor a "trial" period but something deep, profound and beautiful. True, I found the beauty of marriage, throughout the dysfunction  since I didn't vet very well, rather ended somewhat painless, $725.00<---LUCKY, and quick divorce. Five minutes in court lifted the burden off  my shoulders.

Enough of that, my friend from college gotten married Saturday. We met in American History class, sixteen years ago. We pretty much had a hard time understanding our instructor because of his heavy Korean accent   but he was soo cute as bug  in a rug! We hit it off rather well and our friendship continued to grow. We've been through some thangz..lol.  She's loyal,  funny, practical and matter of fact. Before meeting her new husband she was with a DBR guy with too many damn kids. I remember rolling  my eyes  when she talked about him. He was a ghastly one! And one day,she told me that she dumped the fool *FINALLY*, moved to another town and living enjoying her single life.  Then she met her new husband on a dating site and from there, a union was formed last night.  I held it for a good hour until the couple danced, and the water works started.  Snot, runny mascara, eyeliner and M.A.C. Ruby Woo red lipstick decorated the white dinner napkin. I  was the only black person there but I did not care because this is my friend and she invited  me for her special day & Jackie, her dad would have gotten crunk! LMAO!
She made a comment to me before the ceremony:

"My single life is over and your is beginning."
"Yup" I  said " And you're going to love being married."
For  those whom are divorced or single, don't be a negative, be happy for your friend!  For my black women, take a pause to see if  ANY of your bw friends getting married to the person they love. If you have attend a wedding in the past year or in the near future, can you see yourself at the alter?  I do! Watch me, it may not be next year but I'm getting married in the future. Vetting and common sense is the key!
But for now, I'm extremely loving my single life, even if I haven't dated yet I continue to make myself happy at every minute.
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. John Creasy, many love and blessings to them!

Awwww!!! :)

Austin: The Music Capital of Texas

Austin have became another favorite city of mine in the past months. Started out as a joke to teach my daughter about the capital of Texas, we took a mini family road trip to our wonderful capital. My kids love it! Austin is the "hippie" town, progressive (well not the  public transportation & infrastructural road systems ) lots to do from: art, movies, sports and music.  Besides that, many people from all over the states and continent come to visit this wonderful city. Since the population boom, you'll find many cultures and plenty of HOTTIES!!! Omigosh! I have seen some of the cutest, sexiest, healthiest (vegetarianism is popular) guys down there.  For my lovely, free-spirited, hippie black women please, please,  please visit Austin! I seen opportunity in that area, to get your name out in art, music, fashion or whatever that your heart desires DO IT. Austin is family orientated so many kids being themselves * Think of Jayden and Willow Smith* it's unreal. My kids, my daughter is mixed, felt comfortable in her skin and yes I have seen mixed people down there. Not too much of a black population but what the hell, who cares? LOL! I still enjoy the town's feisty nightlife, laid back culture and met some cool people. Speaking of people, my stay was awesome!  My host, Kendra from CouchSurfers welcomed me into her home. Kick ass roommates, comfy bed and showing me  the coolest thrift stores in town.  Kendra is from Queens, New York, moved to Austin a year and half ago, creating a name for herself. She's the most coolest person that I've met since the Chilcotes in March. We went to two art galleries (free wine) and looked at art.

At this little neat place called Clayworks Studio/Gallery on  East 6th St. had a indie/folk trio playing in the basement part of the establishment. Aww man! I love a steel guitar and she was good.   Of course after leaving the gallery, we went to a couple of bars and had fun. I enlighten Kendra where I'm from and the culture of people. Seem strange that one part of an region is hip, fun, always something to do while my region East Texas, is a bit dry, boring, nothing really do to but to go out of town to have some decent fun. Oh yeah I experienced some good ol' New York driving.  Quite interesting! :)

And yes she's a movie buff, suffice to say, I geeked but she didn't know it..LOL Do you know when I speak about movies; classic, horror, drama, anything of whatever genre around here I either get a crazy look or confusion. My cousin and I share a love of horror movies, so I usually emailed her on Facebook on what movies she needs to check out. Mine are splatter 80's horror, foreign, classics, musicals and a couple of dramas. Don't get me started on the 80's children's movies. I have introduced my kids to Neverending Story, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, The Last Unicorn and etc... They have imagination but viewing them again as an adult I notice the undertones of horror within the characters, plot and mood.

Well that concludes my weekend. I had a lovely time seeing my girl Michelle getting married, meeting new people, experience East 6th St.*after dark* since my brother told me long ago "I belong down there" and came  back home safely hugging the shit out of my kids.   Being  a single parent, I do have  my "me" time. I may not have the greatest job, wads of cash or the luxury of traveling every weekend *I wish!* but I do research on cities, look into website that offer deals, stay on a budget without being broke for a week and enjoy myself.

I forgot, I got hit on by some old assed snaggled tooth creepy dude in the club. GGGGAAAKKKKKK!!! I could have STAYED in East Texas for that. Where's nice-looking, friendly, around my age and at least five to seven years older, in shape, all of their teeth, not afraid to talk to  me, smiling sweet, secure, smell  so good, can carry a conversation guys at?? I forgot, not around here in my area. :/

Peace!!!

My son is doing fine & Def Jam Petition signing.

Yippy, I'm too excited!  My  son is  doing very well  as we "speak." His O2 level in  his body are up, making    great  progress here. Monday afternoon, we took  us a lovely trip to Dallas to Children's Medical. Before we left, he was on six with his oxygen. Six is pretty dang high, almost 100%; a setting for a patient with emphysema/COPD.  After  our arrival, the nurses weened  him off and been breathing pretty good.  It's more that he can't keep enough  air inside his lungs because his blood is not receiving oxygen so his heart  is telling his brain  to work harder to breathe.  That's serious stress for a five year old.

People do not realize that asthma is very a serious issue especially  with younger children. In my last blog, I do smoke and weening myself off cigarettes. I know I am  heading the right direction of making that decision  to quit before this happened.  This morning,  I took an asthma class to better prepare myself, properly  use his inhalers.  We gonna kick asthma in the ass!!! Finally released!!! Six days hemmed up in the "free prison"  OMG JOY!! His dad made it around 12:30pm  with his girlfriend.  We rode back with  them.  I'm gonna tell ya,  that  was  the most scariest, awkward and latter part calm ride home.  I even posted on my  Facebook:

A long ass scary ride home with lucifer, oops I meant sevyn's dad. Pray for us lol.

LOL!!!  I couldn't help it!!  And I'm not kidding when he put the "scary"  in scary. The most ridiculous road rage on the freeway (he cannot drive in the city),  words that came out of his mouth was "b" and "f' mostly "b."  I got on to him about his language around our son.  Now my son is terrified, so he went to sleep to block it. I put on headphone to shut it out. I prayed for this fool to go to sleep and he did after stopping for a bite  to eat.   Favorite  food: Fried  Chickennnnn!!!!   His  girlfriend took over the driving and I stayed awake all through the ride. She's pretty brake happy and knowing my ex-husband he's not knowledgeable with his truck.  So his brakes wasn't in the best condition.   I finally made it home with my son, I thanked them for driving us home, gave him a bit of money for  gas and gave him  the most awkward half pat hug  ever. You know, that hug where you don't like a person that much but you do it to be a good sport.  THAT HUG.  And you know what?  From that ride home, I value and love my life! I mean I really love my life so much!   My son is fine, I can rest easier, I  didn't lose my cool  with  his immature dad  and knowing  that everything  was going to be  okay putting my trust with the Creator in the  beginning.   The whole six hours being around his dad wasn't that  bad, well with the vulgar language that I've gotten onto him in  front  of  our son. And that's abnormal behavior for him that he passes off as "normal."

Def  Jam Petition:

While in the hospital, I chatted in a IR group to pass of the time, when one of the member's posted:
http://www.change.org/petitions/boycott-def-jam-artist-lil-reese-def-jam-should-not-support-any-artist-who-abuses-women

*WARNING, This clip is violent, up to your discretion to view it or not*

I watched the clip  for  about 3  minutes. That's  all I need  to sign this petition.
My thoughts on  this is point blank- this piece of trash comes and fights a woman  and nobody didn't help her.  The only person that was helping her is another female in the video.  I seen three guys standing there while this buffoon started beating on  her. Why didn't the  guys didn't pull him off? Because they are damaged and messed up in the head. Now, if this was a Asian, white or any non-black woman and someone came in a person's house unannounced and threatens to beat her, police would be called after they  beat his ass  to death.  Because men who are cultured in different ethnic groups are taught  to protect women! Since I made  that  point,  the three guys who watched the beating and didn't protect her, because she's a black woman! And these guys wasn't taught to protect women but  to beat on  them, harass and hate them.  Thanks to your "black community"of not taking responsibility, wild animals roam freely.  Feral animals syndrome as I call  it  because these men are feral trying to pass off as 'normal' men.  Now I don't know whose this lil rapper but his ass need to get shut down!

One  thing I'm  particular about is my hip hop in the 80's era. Hip hop is fun, creative, intelligent, make you dance, drop awesome beats and  put a smile on your face. Hip hop/Rap of  this age is crap crap crap! Take a listen to Lil Wayne then Afrikka Bambata. AB is about the Zulu Nation and having fun with hip hop. No  cussing, misogynist lyrics, booty shaking videos with half naked women NONE OF THAT!   Lil Wayne..geez where do I start?  Come on!  The guy wears skinny jeans and make them sag. His lyrics are  terrible and talks about sex sex sex.   I'm tired of this  today's "black' music that suppose to be part of a culture. It's not black music, its ignorant bullshit!  If you want to get real with  your 'soul' music I suggest you to go back, WWAAAYYYY back and stop at 1990, maybe take it 1998.  My friends, this petition is important. I'm  tired of stupid ass down low DBR men who came from a feral environment posing as 'normal' to make it in the music industry or any industry. Since Don Imus was fired from CBS for saying  "Nappy-headed hoes." to a basketball team, majority are young black women,  then I'm  gonna say NO to this Lil Reese and Def Jam Records.  Where's Al Sharpton in this?  Oh I forgot, this involves black people not WHITE PEOPLE!  That perm wearing, roller set having fat diva "man" will have a FIELD DAY if the attacker was a white man.  Just like he did with Don Imus, he made sure that he was fired and never see the light of day. But you know what? I'm not depending on Diva Sharpton to raise stink,  I'm depending on me, black women who do not condone violence and others to support this.   Russell  Simmons should  be ashamed of himself, oh wait! no he's not.  I wonder if his brother Reverend Run talked about  this situation and  his record label supporting a domestic violence offender. Hmmmm.... That's an excellent question! Who knows???

The 'feral' rapper gave a  half assed  apology to the lady.  Yeah and I'm suppose to believe in it? Hell no!  He wouldn't have done it in the first place. Lame excuse? "I was high."  People that are high do not engage in fights because they'll  forget. A  mix of marijuana and alcohol can result in aggressive behavior. I've been around too many country pasture parties in high school to watch dumbasses get into fights when high and inebriated. Then  had  the  nerve call her a "hoe" and "she's trying  to stop him in his career." Please! So you blame a black woman for all of your problems.  We've heard  that stupid, lame, pointless, doesn't  make any sense excuses so many times. You'll dress it in different styles and still comes out to the same weak ass excuse.  Literally bizarre thinking!

"Ouch I hurt my toe!" If that bw wasn't there blocking my way, my toe would be alright. But they want a bw to support them in any messed up situation the "Behind a strong black man is a strong  black woman." Irrational thinking doesn't equal logic!  I heard that when I was younger, it confused  me and then I thought "Why  in the hell would I'll stand behind my  man when I should stand next to him!" Ughhh... SMH to abnormal rhetoric.

Being a domestic violence survivor myself, I totally support this petition. I cannot stand a supposed "man" that beats on a woman and a child for power. Power and ego is what fuels these weak men, due to insecurity issues deep in their souls. A predator who looks for the weak to prey on. Vile and disgusting men that will blame their problems on anything that they can think on what made them become like this. And will ask for sympathy!! The gall of these men!   Black women, we need  to start supporting each  other because nobody  isn't going to do it for us.  I'm sick and tired of bullshit and NEEDS  TO STOP!

I use to love Def Jam, they came out with the best rap/hip hop groups. They made the Beastie Boys what they are today! Def Jam have went to the crapper with this one and I do expect more nincompoops on the roster to make crappy music coming from feral backgrounds. As long they keep churning out misogynist lyrics, violent offenders towards women especially black women, I don't care if I have to marching in front of their office protesting. Wrong is wrong!

I see why my heart has always been rock n roll.  Til  the day I die, I will stay true to myself no matter what.

Hospitals are called 'free' prison in my book, my sweet son get better so we can haul boo-tay outta here!

My sweet son is sick and in the hospital now.  It's been a grueling 3 days held up in the "free" prison.  Yeah do you  know that the hospital is a "free" prison?  LOL.. a lil joke there.  Its Saturday afternoon  and yes it sucks to be stuck in the room all day long  but I'm mom and my son needs me.

He 's been diagnosed with  asthma since  one years old. His father had  it, uncles ( mine and the ex-husband's brother) and they  grew out of it.  So hopefully he'll grow  out of this. Asthma is very serious especially for younger children. Starts off with the wheezing & coughing, I started  to give him breathing treatments Saturday night after the fall activities at  the church.  Must have been  the hay ride through the chilly dusk air or  the hay. I think the hay triggered it, I remember how tired and drained he looked when  I went for pizza.  He felt fine that Sunday, taking the grandparents out for dinner, talking  up  a storm with Big  Mama.  Around 3a.m. Monday morning, he had a low grade fever.

Two days out of school, his progression didn't look too good. The doctor's office we go!  And from that visit, we've made that trip to the ER that landed us in the hospital since Wednesday.  Guys, having a sick kid in  the hospital is a nightmare for a parent.  You do your best to make them comfortable and staying  positive. Even if they can't barely lift their little head, you hold back the tears and hold it up for them & smile. I made it to Saturday and had  my " mommy moment" of crying.  Yes I am tired, but this is my son. My son does have a father,  grocery shopping is more important than sitting with his son. To him one visit does enough and work is very important.   He did visit him for an hour, ummm okay? But I'm missing four days of work to care for  my son. Good thing I have flex days but you still go through hell and high water for your children. Did I give the ex-husband a pat on his back for visiting his son for an hour? Hell naw!!! If you remember he's DBR man so expect that from those types. Selfish people tend focus on illogical priorities for personal gain & ego. I put everything aside during that visit, offered to get food while he spend time with our son. I don't care what happened in the past, you're divorced, the child is IMPORTANT not your raggedy ass'd stank past issues with me!! DBR men do not break their necks for their kids, making super dumb excuses to avoid real life situations. Teenage boys do that. As a newly single mom again, I vow to VET people, continue my life, enrichen my children and better myself as a parent.

I take walks in  the hallway and go downstairs to the vending machines.  Since I'm  the only parent here with him my short trips are 3-5 minutes long. I do have his personal care attendant in the room when I leave.  My daughter and father came  last night, enjoying their company. Especially my father, he loves his jackrabbit..lol. My dad even lays in the bed  with him and they play and watch tv. He misses him so much!!! The best part, I'm  not too far away from the house. Last year during the wildfire outbreaks in Texas, he inhaled too much smoke after the community's wild fire hell. It was living in two different horror/scary films Let  me show you:  Silent Hill in the morning and The Fog at night.*Remind you, I live in the woods!*
Really Flying Dutchman?

 Charred 'snowflakes?' Where's Charlie Brown?

Since the pirates couldn't make it during the fog  (about 4 hours from the Gulf of Mexico, hard to navigate a ghost ship through pine trees) and the Silent Hill gang  unavailable, the real horror is being evacuated from your home due to raging, uncontrolled fires, destroying every tree, property, animals and houses even a life that's beyond your control.  Smoke filled the air morning and night. We couldn't sleep from smelling that crap after every fire team put it out. Yep it got him good, developing pneumonia in his right lung. The horror of  every parent's nightmare of having a child under the age of 5, balancing on a tight rope called life and death.  Six days at the hospital, no joke! good thing my friend Chip came and relieved me almost every night to get fresh air and a break.
Besties since high school!!
He's the nicest person on Earth, I always knew even when he was being a badass in school.  Well, trying..LOL..  Ya'll wondering hmmmm friends? yeah and he's gay. My son adores him because of his kindness and appreciate his visits.   My son doesn't know he's gay but when a child recognize kindness from a caring person, you're on his/her good list. Children can see a person's heart better than adults because their world isn't mucked up....yet. My son seen Chip more than his dad  during the hospital stay, pretty pathetic of  his dad, aye?  I didn't let his father know because he's an idiot, wouldn't understand and basically he's not fond of gay people. But he has a gay uncle. Please do not try to understand the logic of  my son's father, its not worth losing a brain cell.

The doctor may let us go tomorrow. Hopefully the 10pm-4am, extra strength breathing treatments will do right for  him.* NO SLEEP FOR ME!* ha!  He's perking up and when he perks up, oh boy! He's alive!!!  Plenty of oxygen and careful O2 monitoring is a must.  95 or better oxygen level  is the key for my sweet boy to get better. For  me, I made a conscience decision to quit smoking. I discussed this with my doctor two weeks before he gotten sick. I'm battling with these withdraws and its not cool.  I'm weening myself off of the "ignit" sticks, putting me back on anti-depressant meds to even out  my moods. My party days are over, I lead a normal boring life and I like it like that. Don't get  me wrong, I still have those "teenage" moments enjoying life before the kids, but those are well-planned & scheduled.  Twice a year, I have my "Keeshia, wild rocker day" and by midnight I'm tired and sleepy..LMAO!!! That reminds me how much my life have changed. Most stuff that I did in my twenties, I do not miss them at all!!!

*If any of  you reading smoke, you do have the choice to quit. I wish I'd never started and my mother enabled  my smoking habits during high school  (trying to be the cool hip mom, sorry about that mom)*

I still keep it PUNK ROCK tho!!! Well its 10pm and the final count down for the meds for my son. Say a prayer and keep us in your thoughts.

I'll leave you guys with "Justin" from KoRn.  Follow the Leader is still  the baddest album ever! I know my music, I wouldn't  mind a music challenge from anyone! Bring it on!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! muahhahahhahahahahhaha!!!!!! Don't forget to watch the Walking Dead @8pm/9pm CST/EST!   Rick-- So sexy! Now that's a great reason to stay alive! ;)

Changes for 2013, Sometimes you gotta cut the extra out

I have decided to let go of my other job, retail sales due to me going  back  to a actual classroom setting which I  have to drive about 45 minutes from home. Another thing, my children are kinda lagging  behind in their school work. I don't  like  to  see  my children's  grades & performance suffer. I do work at their school in the afternoons. I get the scoop on their performance and what I can do as their parent to help them excel. I  was going to leave around April, making a year at the store but whatever! I'm leaving after Christmas break, working those holidays, getting that $$ and kick rocks!

I will miss the extra money but my children come first. Money comes and goes but your children are your most precious assets. I take an hour off lunch during the evenings to go over making sure my  son doesn't do a upside  down "e."  He's going to need  all  the practice. But the teen daughter, sigh....... that's another story.
What can I use to motivate  my 13 year old daughter to read? write in complete sentences? study for her test? Do she think that being mediocre is going to work for her in life?  Yeah but its mediocre. This is her last  year  in middle school, damn I'm relieved. High school is coming but if she doesn't get in gear to prepare herself for HS, she's gonna get surprised, everyday.  I guess she thinks I'm telling a lie or something.

Sometimes you have to stop and think  about how much stress, what is lacking or what needs to be improved/dropped.  Mine is due to stress of weekends of wanting to spend more time with my kids, doing most of my  hobbies, taking good ol  naps and enjoying family well deserved family time. I notice that a lack of (me) which I need to (improve) on helping my children and (dropping)  my second job to cut a tremendous  percent of stress.

My oldest have extra curricular activities on  weekends. I want  her to do well but she's going through this "I don't give a damn" mode. This morning she told me that she going to  cut out a lot of activities because she  can't handle them.  "No"  I said. Why?  She doesn't put in the effort, time and quality into them. No drive, whatsoever.

Children don't hear but do and  the reality that I actually do have the drive to go to work, school and what I put forth in something. I even had a migraine but took my aspirin and went on to work after dropping her off  after her volleyball game. She knew I had one but doesn't compute to a teenager that mom have a migraine, popped some pain reliever and went back work to support her family.  Dang, teenage girls I forgot what's it like, I  think I went to sleep from 13-18. Oh yeah I was a sour puss but more of a smart ass. My daughter is more sour puss and doesn't exercise her smart assness, more like dumb ass *no she's not dumb but good grief, girl use your brain!* And believe me, when she use that muscle called a brain, she's wise, I say she more to my speed.

Anyways, my migraine is gone, listening to M83 and getting ready for bed. To sum this up, enjoying your life, you have to cut some things out that's going to endanger your health, and miss out on your children's quality family moments.  Though I am a single parent, my income is going to drop a bit but that's okay, I'm actually glad to make this decision. I am  a Fashion Merchandising major  and yes working in retail is part of my experience but I can always apply for internship anywhere in the world. Plus people in  the town I reside have bad fashion taste! :)

I'll leave you guys with Linkin Park.. LP music have evolved and yes I'm going to buy them.  Trust me, I know good music.
